Nyamilu Clean Water Project

The Nyamilu Clean Water Project was conducted by Dartmouth Engineers Without Borders (D-EWB). Nyamilu is found in the Migori region located in the southwestern corner of Kenya near Lake Victoria and Tanzania. Dartmouth-EWB was responsible for the first phase of the project that: drilling a borehole, installing a solar-powered water pump, and creating a temporary holding tank. EWB-LSU was to be responsible for second phase of the project: building a permanent holding tank, building a gravity fed distribution system.
